This is a Moto Guzzi Mk 1 Le Mans 850cc. First registered in the UK on 1/4/77, on an 'R' plate. It is the earlier and more desirable Mk 1 Le Mans with the tailpiece and T3/S3 type rear light. Mk 1 Le Mans had a VE frame and motor prefix - this bike has frame number VE 121** so was most likely built towards the end of 1976. Motor has the correct VE prefix, number VE 0802**.This bikes rides beautifully. The motor is lovely, and ticks over beautifully, having been serviced by Paul/Neil at Corsa. It revs well, and is quick, and has bags of torque. It handles tightly and you can really push it into corners with confidence. I've owned Guzzis for 20 years and this is one of the best I have ridden. There are no issues with clutch or gearbox, no weeps from the drive box or crank seal. It's a sorted Le Mans Mk1 and of course just sounds great!
